 Aliza Zisman, L.Ac is Executive Director and owner of East West California (EWC) an integrative holistic clinic committed to evidence-based practices that combines the best of complementary treatments with mainstream modern medicine and psychology to provide care for the whole person (integrating mind and body approaches).

 Zisman began her career with EWC in 1998 at the Los Angeles, California branch as a licensed acupuncturist. Aliza specialized in Synergistic and Natural Fertility Management;  Nutritional and Lifestyle  counseling; Pain Management, Auricular DeTox AcupunctureTherapy  (N.A.D.A.) for alcohol drug and behavioral addictions. Since then she has held a series of leadership positions in EWC, most recently as director of the Therapy and Workshop division. In this role, she implements numerous treatment modalities for various types of relapsing/remitting immune-mediated conditions and chronic/acute emotional and physical traumas whose etiologies included familial, social, and environmental . She focused on the interrelationships between exposure to traumatic events and how the trauma is internalized, embodied, manifested and repressed.  Aliza helps clients become aware of various forms of trauma and their relationships to particular events/contexts; developed relevant coping systems and facilitated numerous workshops for people from various national, faith and cultural communities who experienced trauma in their environments.

 Zisman developed and implemented programs for healing emotional, physical and psychological trauma that enhanced personal awareness, confidence, interpersonal trust and compassion. She integrated aspects of Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), Completion & Correction Healing (CCH), Body Code (BC) and Emotional Code (EC) approaches to develop the breakthrough BodyEmotion Balancing (BEB) that focuses on treating unresolved Heart blocks and traumas that cause pain, toxicity, chronic skin/physical conditions, nutritional deficiencies and imbalances between the endocrine, meridian and musculoskeletal systems

In prior leadership roles, Dr. Zisman served as Director of Chinese Medicine at Rehabilitation and Neurological and Orthopedic/Physical Therapy clinics in Southern California.  She specialized Natural Fertility Management;  Nutritional and Lifestyle  counseling;  Auricular DeTox Acupuncture; Oncology Support; Obesity and Therapeutic weight loss interventions; Fibromyalgia, Musculoskeletal Pain, Migraine Headaches and Pre/Post Menstrual Syndrome treatments. She was responsible for designing and implementing interventions using Movement Therapies, Yoga, Breath Work, Therapeutic Massage, Tui na, Acupuncture, Electro-Acupuncture, Korean Hand Acupuncture, Scalp Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Kinesiology, Cupping, Chinese Herbs, T’ai chi, Qigong, Life Style counseling and Guided Meditation.

 Zisman founded HeartPath International where she is involved in empowering women to transform traumatic experiences and disharmonious emotional patterns.  She was Chair of the Women’s Committee of the Peace NGO Forum and served on the Board of the TMJ-Pain Management Clinic at White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles.

 Zisman graduated magna cum laude in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Emperor’s College and completed postgraduate studies in Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Qi Gong, and Liver Diseases at the Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Beijing, China.
